Responsibilities include pre-procedural health screening and sedation risk assessment management of pre and post procedure recovery room monitoring patients before during and after sedation administering medications under the direction of licensed staff and directly assisting in abortion procedures to ensure safe compassionate and high-quality care. What will you be doing! Assessing medical history and appropriateness for out-patient care Assessing sedation and anesthesia riskCaring coordination for patients requiring pre-procedure planningAssisting physician or advanced practice clinician in procedure room as necessaryObserving take vital signs and record patients condition in pre1operative/procedure/recovery room Administer medications according to standing orders and/or in collaboration with licensed staffProficient and compliant documentation in the electronic medical recordStarting IVs Giving after care instructions and discharge patients with appropriate documentationAssisting in transfers/emergency care as directedUltrasound training and duties as assigned. May include intra-operative procedural guidanceBlood draws point of care testing and other lab duties as assignedProviding patient education including but not limited to contraception sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV) prevention and treatments health promotion activities pregnancy options gender affirming hormone care or abortion services.
