Our exceptional health center staff drives our mission forward by upholding our acclaimed customer service & confidentiality standards and working to create a safe judgement-free space for anyone seeking Planned Parenthood our Clinical Nurse positionThe Clinical Nurse provides both direct patient care and patient care collaboration with advanced practice clinicians physicians anesthesia staff and health center leadership the clinical nurse will support the delivery of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services including abortion care. Responsibilities include pre-procedural health screening and sedation risk assessment management of pre and post procedure recovery room monitoring patients before during and after sedation administering medications under the direction of licensed staff and directly assisting in abortion procedures to ensure safe compassionate and high-quality care. What will you be doing! Assessing medical history and appropriateness for out-patient care Assessing sedation and anesthesia riskCaring coordination for patients requiring pre-procedure planningAssisting physician or advanced practice clinician in procedure room as necessaryObserving take vital signs and record patients condition in pre1operative/procedure/recovery room Administer medications according to standing orders and/or in collaboration with licensed staffProficient and compliant documentation in the electronic medical recordStarting IVs Giving after care instructions and discharge patients with appropriate documentationAssisting in transfers/emergency care as directedUltrasound training and duties as assigned. May include intra-operative procedural guidanceBlood draws point of care testing and other lab duties as assignedProviding patient education including but not limited to contraception sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV) prevention and treatments health promotion activities pregnancy options gender affirming hormone care or abortion services. Provides appropriate and medically accurate patient education in support of all services offered by the Qualifications:Minimum one year of experience in sexual and reproductive health care preferably with abortion care exposure Current Washington registered nursing license with willingness to be licensed in other states as needed It is the candidates professional obligation to keep all licensure and certification up to date and to provide a copy of such to the affiliate Proficient in IV placement CPR and BLS certification required ACLS certification as per state requirements Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of quality assurance and risk management standards Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Travel to multiple affiliate locations may be requiredSalary Range:$39.02 - $68.03 hourlyPosition Type: Full-time (2 positions available) Everett and Central DistrictThis is a union role United Food Workers and Commercial Eligibility:This position is eligible for PPGNHAIK benefits.
