Short Description:

As a Food Operations Manager youre not just overseeing operations of one or more dining outlets youre contributing to creating memorable guest experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Responsibilities:

Heres what youll do during a typical day:

  • Ensure seamless operations: Manage daily food and beverage operations for designated outlets ensuring top-tier quality service and marketing strategies that maximize profitability and customer satisfaction

  • Enhance guest satisfaction and service excellence: Support the development and implementation of guest satisfaction strategies monitoring trends gathering feedback and driving continuous improvements to elevate the guest experience

  • Drive operational efficiency: Oversee the administrative and planning functions of the Food & Beverage department ensuring smooth daily operations while implementing cost controls for food beverage and labor expenses

  • Elevate quality and service standards: Support the delivery of exceptional food and beverage quality service and marketing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction drive revenue and maximize profitability

  • Inspire and develop the team: Supervise coach and mentor team members provide professional development opportunities and recognize achievements to build retain and engage a high-performing team

  • Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health safety sanitation and alcohol awareness regulations ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing

Key Responsibilities for Hotel Pre-Opening Leaders

  • Project Management: Oversee timelines budgets and resources; manage construction procurement and vendor coordination; ensure compliance with deadlines and regulations.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute pre-opening plans; set priorities anticipate challenges and establish operational workflows.

  • Operational Readiness: Ensure all departments (front office housekeeping F&B engineering) are prepared; coordinate training and brand standards implementation.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit onboard and train staff; foster collaboration and maintain team focus under pressure.

  • Financial Management: Manage pre-opening budgets; monitor forecasts; negotiate vendor contracts and control costs.

  • Brand Standards: Ensure consistency in design service and operations aligned with brand guidelines.

  • Problem-Solving: Address unexpected issues quickly; manage risks and maintain safety compliance.

  • Attention to Detail: Oversee final construction design and furnishing; ensure operational processes meet quality standards.

  • Communication: Maintain transparent updates with owners investors and stakeholders; represent the project in pre-opening events.

  • Adaptability: Adjust plans as needed; stay resilient under fast-paced high-pressure conditions.

  • Customer Focus: Ensure guest experience remains the top priority from day one.
