Electrical Reliability Engineer -Electrical Power Distribution (EPD)Columbus MSPay Rate: $106700 - $137000Multiple factors including Individual experience skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay Salaried Full-Time About The Role:This position is located at the Columbus MS Global Cellulose Fibers mill. As one of the largest softwood pulp producers in the world this location produces bleached softwood pulp for use in paper and specialty products such as absorbent personal care products pharmaceuticals and photographic-based papers. This position reports to the E & I Reliability the Electrical Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for moderately complex engineering projects and directing the work of assigned technical associates to promote increased performance and reliability of machinery and equipment through failure and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide visible and active leadership in delivering excellent safety results. Safety Certification in IP system with operations and maintenance teams to implement strategic maintenance initiatives that support achievement of reliability objectives key performance metrics and maintenance cost objectives and capital projects continuous improvement through positive influence IP best practices FMEA and facilitation by leading a group to quickly and thoroughly identify and solve latent for ensuring projects are compliant with NFPA 70E safety for all aspects of asset management for Electrical Power Distribution (EPD)equipment including but not limited to: TG protective relays exciter and control systemEmergency Power Supplies (UPS Systems)Generator and System GroundingUtility TieLoad Shed SystemsCapacitor BanksSwitchgear TransformersPower Cable Feeder SystemsStation and UPS BatteriesGroundingLightning Protection of Overhead LinesPower System StudiesDrawingsRide Through ProtectionActively participate in monthly IP EPD best practice current gap analysis against GMS EPD outage support for IP CMF EPD outage support for other IP mills as electrical and instrumentation (E&I) design support to the maintenance department and capital engineering factory acceptance testing of EPD technical assistance and advice as necessary to aid in troubleshooting complex issues in manufacturing for management of mill infrared and ultrasonic inspections and corrective action planning of power distribution for maintaining (5) Capital plan for EPD for electrical transformer oil analysis testing effectiveness of E&I predictive and preventative maintenance effective systems and materials such as operating procedures (SOP) troubleshooting documents (TCC) and other training with other leaders to provide electrical Weekend Duty support. About You: Knowledge Skills and Abilities Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment3 10 years of electrical engineering experiencePower Distribution experience requiredStrong computer skills including proficiency with AutoCAD and all Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with ETAP power system modeling software is preferredExperience in the pulp and paper industry is preferredExcellent leadership skillsProven commitment to safety and safety processesStrong technical foundation in electrical engineeringHigh level of initiative and motivationStrong communication skills (oral & written)Able to work independently and excel with minimum supervisionDesire and ability to work as a team playerDesire to aggressively learn and continue to develop knowledge and skills About Global Cellulose Fibers (GCF):Our GCF business helps customers transform renewable cellulose fibers into essential everyday products.
