Basic Job Functions:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Electrical Supervisor and performs skilled industrial electrical maintenance including troubleshooting complex electrical systems and repairing machinery and equipment. This role involves working with AC/DC overhead cranes motors PLCs and distribution systems ensuring that production and auxiliary equipment are maintained to high standards. Responsibilities include conducting preventive and corrective maintenance analyzing breakdowns to determine repair actions during downtime and ensuring adherence to all safety policies procedures and housekeeping standards.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year electrical engineering degree
- Siemens specific PLC & HMI (WinCC) programming experience
- Industrial communication protocols experience (IO link Profinet Modbus OPC)
- AC/DC overhead crane experience
- Industrial reheat furnace experience
- Experience working in industrial metal manufacturing
