What Youll Do
- The Science Research Technology and Engineering (SRT&E) scope in the Program Integration Division represents program and project authority and accountability within Pantex and is the key interface among internal and external stakeholders.
- Directors primary duty is the scope schedule and cost performance and risk management for the National Nuclear Security Administration Research Development Test & Evaluation Organization (NA-11) portfolio and will be required to exercise discretion and independent judgment denoted as follows: having the authority to formulate affect interpret or implement management policies or operating practices; carrying out major assignments related to the operation of the Companys business; work that affects business operations of the Company to a major degree and having the authority to commit the Company in matters having significant financial impact.
- Independent judgment and discretion involves the comparison and evaluation of possible courses of conduct and having the authority to make an independent choice free from immediate direction with respect to matters of significance.
- Director will be responsible for shaping the NA-11 SRT&E scope at the site in a way that meets the needs of all internal and external stakeholder and is responsible for staffing coordinating facilitating overseeing and reporting on the activities of Program personnel effectively interfacing with internal and external customers and representing Pantex in meetings and negotiations.
What Youll Do (Continued)
- Director for SRT&E is responsible for providing program leadership and the internal and external coordination and advocacy necessary to sustain and advance the tools technologies and skills needed to assess the state of the stockpile and ensure Pantex develops the agility and responsiveness needed to support future production mission needs.
- SRT&E Director is responsible for ensuring strategies policies and plans are developed integrated budgeted and executed to accomplish the NA-11 related work portfolio to ensure the Pantex Plant can efficiently and effectively:
- Support the current stockpile by providing accurate and timely stockpile assessment data;
- Support design studies development programs and rapid rapid capabilities projects by rapidly supplying test/development hardware working collaboratively with Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) study members and providing strategic insight into Pantex capabilities to enable new innovative weapon concepts
- Anticipate future needs through collaborations with the Design Agencys (DAs) and National Nuclear Secruity Administration (NNSA) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers;
- Collaborate with Design Agency Other Production Agencies the Pantex University Partnership Program Manager and the NA-19 Pantex Program Managers to mature and qualify promising technologies that are relevant to emerging needs or that contribute to a more efficient responsive enterprise and ensure their successful hand-off to receiving programs for scale-up qualification and production; and
- Deliver the underlying science technology and workforce needed to support design and production agility responsiveness robustness and resilience by integrating internal efforts and teaming with Design Agencies and University partners to apply science-based stockpile stewardship tools to production processes.
- SRT&E Director is responsible for staffing coordinating facilitating overseeing and reporting on the activities of SRT&E Program personnel effectively interfacing with internal and external customers representing Pantex in meetings and negotiations and working with NA-11 NA-12 and NA-19 to ensure effective technology transitions to receiving programs and facilities.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. Minimum 3 years of supervisory/ management experience.
- OR Applicants without a bachelors degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 20 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.
