Pay Grade/Pay Range:Minimum: $15.00 - Midpoint: $17.26 (Hourly N1)

Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

Job Summary:The Groundskeeper provides basic labor for landscape and flower installation and maintenance. Works outdoors in all types of weather. Drives University vehicles such as trucks golf carts mowers and tractors from site-to-site.

Additional Department Summary:Shifts may exceed 8 hours per day depending on the condition of the grounds and campus event schedules. Performs work at various locations including events such as football games. Requires overtime sometimes on short notice.

Required Minimum Qualifications:Must be able to read write and follow verbal and written instructions.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. drivers license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Skills and Knowledge:Ability to stand walk lift and carry groundskeeping equipment for prolonged periods. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and temperatures.
