Position overview
- Paid internship with the State of Montanas captive insurance regulatory team
- Captive insurers are companies that insure their own risks and state regulators review their finances governance and compliance to protect policyholders and the public
- Handson experience in financial analysis accounting and insurance regulation in a supportive mentoring environment
What youll do
- Support a major annual review of all Montana-domiciled captive insurers doing the analytical leg work with guidance from senior staff
- Analyze financial statements ratios and trends and help prepare concise summaries for regulatory decisionmaking
- See behindthescenes how captives are formed licensed and supervised and the types of regulatory issues that arise in practice
