The Senior Administration and Promotions Officer will provide high quality administration support to the Leadership team in the management of strategic and operational requirement and marketing plan for Hume Leisure to activate connect and empower our community to live healthier more active lives.
What youll be doing:
- Maintain high standards of aquatic safety program delivery and facilities in line with RLSS guidelines and Council policies
- Promote a strong safety-first culture ensuring the wellbeing of all participants staff and facility users
- Deliver high-quality customer service by engaging with participants families schools clubs and community groups
- Ensure programs run efficiently and on schedule including staffing rostering equipment setup and pack-down
- Manage program administration reporting budgets timesheets and accurate record-keeping
- Support and collaborate with the Swim School Team Leader and Coordinator on staff supervision training and continuous improvement
The skills and experience youll bring to the role:
- Experience in aquatic education swim school operations or community-based aquatic programs
- Strong knowledge of aquatic safety standards emergency response procedures and first aid requirements
- Proven ability to supervise staff manage rosters and support team performance
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organisational and administrative skills including financial and data accuracy
- A proactive flexible approach with the ability to work collaboratively in a safety-critical environment
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications relating to sport and recreational management or a similar field OR a less formal qualification with demonstrated skills and relevant experience in the coordination of an aquatic education program including program development and the supervision of aquatic education program staff.
The incumbent is required to hold and maintain current qualifications in:
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming Certificate and Water Safety Certificate
- Level 2 First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Extensive experience in swim instruction.
- Experience in Administration/Customer Service in a similar centre or organisation
- Current level 2 First Aid qualifications and CPR qualifications.
- Current Physical Activity/Fitness Australia accreditation.
- Current valid drivers licence.
