Job Summary
Self-Direction DSP - Baldwinsville Area (Job #MA-CD)
ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Baldwinsville area with a friendly and kind young man. He is looking for opportunities at his home and in his community for recreation and socialization with support from staff. He is most successful with verbal assistance and maintains independence with many tasks. Hed like assistance with maintaining his independence to live on his own.
Hes seeking a reliable staff to assist him with opportunities to explore his community. Responsibilities may include discussions on interests and hobbies participating alongside him in chosen activities monitoring for safety working on his goal-based activities. His interests include video games fitness his pet cats maintaining his home. He is currently employed and would like support to explore new interests on his days off which often include Saturday and Sunday. He is available during the week until 1:30/2 PM. We are looking for individuals who are friendly reliable and patient. Prior experience a plus but willing to train. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. Hiring for 5-10 hours a week with flexibility if necessary for the right fit. Additional opportunities may be available within the agency to build on these hours. All mileage while working is reimbursed. ARISE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
