Job Summary

GeneralSummary:The Peer Support Specialist (PSS) provides peer support services to adult members under the supervision of the Program PSS will function as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a member advocate providing information and peer support for members in outpatient PSS performs a wide range of tasks to assist peers in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process recovery resources such as books tapes pamphlets and other written materials will be utilized by PSS in the provision of RESPONSIBILITIES:Reportstoassignedlocationasscheduled;followsagencyattendancepolicies; a strengths-based approach along with personal experiences while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries to develop meaningful and trusting relationships with members an example of what they can strive for in their recovery and instills the belief that recovery is real and be able to understand and implement individualtreatmentplangoalsby providing behavioralhealth covered peer supportservicesto membersWorks with various community organizations and resources to provide additional support for members particularly as they transition from recovery back into the general community. This can include continued healthcare housing job assistance and additional treatment services as well as support in the task of finding or re-integrating with friends family and outside requirementsforthesite/program/ thecommunity as needed for service ; maintainscleanlinessand maintenanceprotocolsforagency therequired membersofthetreatmentteamandotherprogramsensuringserviceprovision on theprovisionofservicesand ; accounting emergency aid safeguards members rights including reporting of abuse when other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the :Education HS/GED -Past personal experience within the behavioral health system or child welfare system Peer Support Certification from Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) or another approved :Minimum 18 years of Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).CPR First Aid & AED certification if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).Valid Arizona Drivers License 39-month Motor Vehicle Report proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance that meet company insurance requirements if TB test result if required (Employer provides).Questions about this position Contact us
