The Lead Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct supervision of the Medical Assistant (MA) staff in support of the Strivekidney care Lead MA willassistwith training and chart auditing to ensure MAs are supporting high quality individual assists with ensuring MAs function efficiently and effectively while performing a variety of administrative and clinical hybrid role includes in-home visits based on patient requirements with potential face-to-face meetings with colleagues and leadership as needed. This role will report to the Senior Manager Nurse Practitioner (SMNP)

The Day to Day

  • Supervises daily operations of market medical assistants under the direction of market senior manager NP.
  • Participates in employee performance review process including performance management for MAs not meeting targets.
  • Participates in interviewing hiring onboarding and precepting new MAs staff.
  • Helps conduct chart and call audits per established policy ensures training programs address identified needs of staff and operates as market subject matter expert on medical assistant workflows.
  • Manages MA and NP schedules to ensure successful patient visits via telehealth and in thepatienthome.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years combined medical assistant education experience certification including supervisory experience.
  • Graduate from a medical assistant program such as Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) OR Graduate of a formal medical assistant program or LPN program.
  • Current BLS or CPR Certification required.
  • Efficient and reliable transportation including an active drivers licenseallowingfor the ability to travel across an assigned region to meet patient needs. Locations may include offices clinics and patient homes.
  • Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60ms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
  • Highly collaborative with experience working on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Intermediatetechnology skillset withproficiencyin MS Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritizemulti-task and problem solve.

Annual Base Salary Range: $58000 - $67000
