At Appalachian Community Services we are looking for compassionate and skilled Part-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) team.

As a BHUC LPN you will provide essential crisis care assist individuals through critical moments and deliver client-centered solution-focused nursing support. If youre ready to make a difference in behavioral health crisis care were ready for you!

• Compensation: $28.84; this an hourly position with overtime opportunitiesget rewarded for your impact!
• Part-Time Positions: Day & Night Shift.

Build Your Purpose.

As a BHUC LPN you will:

• Conduct telephonic screenings to assess appropriateness for admission.
• Perform nursing screenings upon arrival including pregnancy tests urine drug screens and breathalyzers.
• Collaborate with prescribers to review clinical information and determine medication needs or alternative care options.
• Prepare administer and monitor prescribed medications.
• Provide ongoing medical oversight throughout an individuals stay.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduated from an Approved Nursing Program
• Active LPN Licensure through the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and crisis intervention.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care in a crisis setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within the BHUC team.
