The Intermediate Technology Specialist Core Infrastructure will maintain and enhance shared technology solutions and infrastructure. This role will partner with a cross-functional team to develop test launch and refine solutions to optimize the organizations service experience. Responsible to develop and implement infrastructure technologies that support business priorities and capabilities for internal and external one of the regions top employers and be part of something that truly makes a Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:Support the implementation of corporate policies standards and procedures that provide effective architecture governance and management of Equitable Lifes technical systems and solutionCollaborate with Business and IT roles on the solution design development and quality management of shared infrastructure systems and applications across organizational functionsWork with internal and external teams to increase client satisfaction by improving the quality of systems and products through identification of issues on-going maintenance and implementation of solutionsPerform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of components including the maintenance upgrading or replacement of hardware and/or application softwareAssist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation to uphold quality standardsInspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficienciesMonitor capacity usage and performance of assigned technologies to assure operational availability and process integrityProvide technical guidance to peers and/or end-users regarding technologies that enable continuous delivery of shared solutionsDesigning and maintaining Microsoft server technologies business systems and web services platforms (IIS) Designing securing and maintaining x86 data center server infrastructure inclusive of virtualization storage and and managing core infrastructure platforms for the organization What youll bring:5 years of experience in ITVMWare experience a strong assetPost-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the following or related discipline: computer science computer systems engineering software engineeringManage and maintain on premise infrastructure specifically storage compute and backupManage and maintains back ups and replicationSupport our Disaster Recovery readabilityManage and support Server infrastructure including Windows Linux and custom vendor core infrastructure platform be highly motivated team player who is a strong individual contributor Effective verbal and written communications with an ability to effectively convey information concepts and ideas to othersWhats in it for you:Career Growth:Regular learning sessions and development opportunitiesTotal Rewards:Allowance provided in place of vacation pay and benefitsFlexibility:Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind complemented by a dress for your day approachAt Equitable were committed to fair pay and an inclusive accessible hiring experience.
