What youll do
What you will do
During the total design development phase give creative design input and help guide the involved designers within own area to deliver a competitive and credible design in accordance with Design Strategy
Help to deliver outstanding & creative design for Volvo Cars
General responsibility for the design development within respective design area and program
Prepare presentations for the Design Head and present design options and recommendations and then action and communicate the direction to all relevant parties
Drive related design development and deliverables within respective design area and program according to decided time/logic plan in close cooperation with Design program manager
Initiate alternative technical studies to create better prerequisites for design
Communicate relevant information regarding respective design area to the Design program team
Represent respective design area in the Design Project Team meeting program weed/wide SRG reviews and other program related meetings
Guide support and develop the involved designers
Represent and give input from Volvo Design with outside suppliers and vendors for respective projects
Help create an attractive and creative work atmosphere according to Aspired culture
What youll bring
Bachelor degree or equivalent
Talent for creating good design work
Good communication skills and ability to work in group
Ability to understand implement and improve product process
Ability to create internal and external network
3years experience in the design function
Ability to lead challenge and delegate responsibility
Experience of teamwork in new car projects
In depth experience of working as a production designer in new car project or specialist area
Good English skills
