Personal Support WorkerPosition: Personal Support Worker Part-timeHome: Heartwood Long-Term CareLocation: Cornwall ONSouthbridge Care Homes is currently looking to add a compassionate dedicated and enthusiastic Personal Support Worker (PSW) to our amazing team at Heartwood Long-Term Care. This is a meaningful opportunity to support our residents with daily living activities while helping to ensure their comfort dignity and overall to the Director of Care the PSW is an essential member of the care team providing direct personal care and emotional support to residents in accordance with individualized care plans and in alignment with Long-Term Care standards Southbridge policies and best practices in resident-centered care. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with seniors and committed to creating a safe respectful and supportive home :Assists in providing direct care for residents; assists with ambulation feeding bathing and participation in activity programs by assisting residents to and from with meal service and nourishment delivery to residents and provides feeding assistance as emotional and social support to residents/families including palliative to established departmental polices and procedures regarding documentation quality assurance fire safety environment and infection with and informs supervisor of unit activities needs and matters related to resident in care conferences and documentation related to resident care :Completed a PSW Program that meets the appropriate standards established by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities the National Association of Career Colleges or the Ontario Community Support Association and must be a minimum of 600 hours in duration (including class time and practical experience time)Experience in long-term care an assetKnowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation requiredMentally and physically able to perform duties as assignedAbility to communicate positively with other staff residents and familiesDemonstrates empathy concern and interest in providing quality care and service to residentsDemonstrates organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely fashionAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to provide resident care in accordance with application legislation job routines nursing care plans ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in applicants should send their resume here at We would like to thank all applicants for your interest in working as part of our team!Only those applicants selected to move forward in the recruitment process will be contacted.
