Job Summary

As the Regional Assistant Director youll help lead daily operations for Head Start Early Head Start and State Child Development programs. Youll supervise Area Managers and content area staff ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and help foster a positive supportive environment for staff and :Bachelors Degree in Child Development Early Childhood Education or related field6 Administration units and 2 Adult Supervision units (or ability to obtain within one year)35 years of program management experience including 2 years supervising staffExperience with Head Start Early Head Start Migrant & Seasonal Head Start and State child care contractsExperience supporting multilingual and multicultural early childhood settingsChild Development Site Supervisor Permit (Program Director Permit required within 2 years)Has a dependable insured transportation and valid California drivers license (mileage reimbursed) and acceptable driving record. A DMV printout and proof of insurance will be the Regional Assistant Director you will:Support the Director in planning implementing and evaluating federal and statefunded programsSupervise Area Managers and content area staff providing coaching and performance evaluationsEnsure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and state regulationsAssist with facility oversight inspections and licensing requirementsProvide training and consultation to staff parents and volunteersSupport budget development and monitor program expendituresTrack enrollment attendance staffing levels and related costsParticipate in audits reviews and annual SelfAssessmentsCollaborate on grants funding applications and facility developmentBuild strong community partnerships and support public relations effortsPlease note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
