Job Summary

Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - English Foundation Program (Local Applicants Only)

Classification: Faculty (Institutional Support)
Reports To: Dean School of Arts and Sciences
Location: Kuwait City Kuwait

Job Purpose
American International University (AIU) invites applications for Adjunct Faculty positions within the English Foundation Program for the academic year. Adjunct faculty members contribute to AIUs mission by teaching English courses that strengthen students academic writing reading and communication skills while fostering confidence and engagement in an English-medium learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
Teach up to two (2) undergraduate English Foundation Program courses (6 credit hours) per semester
Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans materials and assessments aligned with curriculum standards
Provide mentorship and academic advising to students
Support student success through active engagement and timely feedback
Collaborate with full-time faculty in curriculum development and program enhancement
Contribute to the intellectual and cultural growth of AIUs academic community

Required Skills and Qualifications
Excellent communication and instructional skills in English (language of instruction is English)
Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and student achievement
Ability to engage students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems

Education and Experience
Masters degree or higher in English TESOL Applied Linguistics Education or a related field required
University-level teaching experience required
Industry experience or familiarity with academic preparation programs preferred
