Job Summary

A specialist SEN school in Hillingdon is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCo to join their team on a full-time basis with an immediate start available. This is a crucial role within a highly supportive setting working with students who have a range of complex special educational needs.

The Role

As SENCo you will lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school ensuring that students receive high-quality personalised support that enables them to thrive academically socially and emotionally. You will work closely with senior leaders teaching staff support teams parents and external professionals to deliver effective and compliant SEND practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school

  • Overseeing identification assessment and support strategies for pupils with SEND

  • Managing and reviewing EHCPs and ensuring statutory compliance

  • Supporting staff with inclusive strategies differentiation and behaviour support

  • Line-managing SEND support staff and contributing to staff development

  • Working closely with external agencies therapists and local authorities

  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding procedures
