Job Summary
A respected independent school in Farnborough is seeking a reliable and technically capable IT Support Engineer to join their support services team. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis offering flexibility for the right candidate and an opportunity to work in a professional well-resourced school environment where technology is integral to daily operations.
The Role
You will provide first- and second-line IT support to staff and students ensuring systems run smoothly and issues are resolved efficiently. The role is varied and hands-on combining day-to-day troubleshooting with proactive system support.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing responsive IT support across the school
Troubleshooting hardware software and connectivity issues
Supporting classroom and office technology including laptops desktops printers and interactive displays
Managing user accounts devices permissions and backups
Assisting with network maintenance and system updates
Supporting data protection cybersecurity and safeguarding procedures
Liaising with external IT providers where required
Maintaining accurate records of faults fixes and equipment
