Equipmentwithin the East Texas POD consists of 7 Varian Linacs (2-TrueBeam 1-Halcyon 4 2100 C-Series). The region also operates 2 active HDR programs via Nucletron afterloaders. Planning and verification systems include: Eclipse BrainLab VariSeed OncentraAria Radformation and RadCalc. With this level of technology there are few special procedures that are not offered. Programs include: SBRT SRS HDR LDR and radiopharmaceuticals. Also provides many vendor webinars its own journal club and the opportunity to serve on many company-wide physics committees.

The candidate should have a MS or PhD degree in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two to five years experience in radiation oncology physics. The candidate should have a current ABR certification or in the process of obtaining certification (completed part 1) and maintain a valid Texas state license for medical physics as required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

• Masters or PhD degree in Medical physics from a CAMPEP accredited program

• Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program

• ABR board certificationor in the process of obtaining certification (e.g. new resident graduate)

• Eligibility for a Texas license

• Strong organization and oralwritten communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Working knowledge of Varian linear accelerators as well as Varian VariSourceBravos HDR afterloader

• Working knowledge of Eclipse and Brachyvision

• A working knowledge of MOSAIQ Radiation Oncology Information System

• Working knowledge of HDR SBRT and SRS procedures

• Working knowledge of Radiation safety

Duties will include:

• Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support at your primary clinic

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of radiation oncology physics including a good working knowledge of SRS SBRT and HDR.
