About the role:
Aurizon are seeking the expertise of a Transformation Specialist to partner with the leadership team in strategic activities to support transformation and continuous improvement within the region. Reporting to the Business Performance Leader you will work with a team of transformational specialists to ensure projects are successfully embedded across the operational depots.
This is a fixed term full time opportunity until October 2026.
The role will be accountable for:
- Leading with the identification prioritisation and implementation of improvement activities.
- Lead the analysis of project and operational requirements investigate innovative solutions and provide guidance to managers and employees.
- Lead and coordinate the review and reporting of initiative progress to senior management and/or stakeholders and ensure ongoing alignment with strategic objectives.
- Drive effective working relationships with customers internal and external clients at a middle management level to ensure improvement initiatives are in keeping with wider business objectives
- Drive collaboration across functions and regions to ensure consistent application of improvement activities across the enterprise and standardise
About you:
- You are an experienced influencer able to connect and implement change with a range of stakeholders and environments.
- You have experience with identifying and managing risks to mitigate impact to program delivery.
- You are values driven and results focused with the ability to coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
- High Level of interpersonal skills to communicate cross functionally.
- Effective business acumen strategic thinking and analytical capability.
- Ideally you will have applied process improvement methodologies.
- Ideally have knowledge in the rail industry in either operational or maintenance functions.
- Project management experience including PM qualifications would be well regarded
