The expected starting base salary for this position is $97226 $102086 annually depending on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience. Once hired you will progress through a wider salary range over time as you continue to develop job knowledge skills and competencies for the role.

What youll be doing

Reporting to the Director Research & Evaluation the Performance Measurement Specialist (PM Specialist) works cross-functionally to assess measure and report on Regulatory Policy and Program effectiveness continuous improvement efforts and progress towards attaining operational and strategic outcomes. The PM Specialist applies advanced experience in quantitative data analysis and interpretation to turn data into usable insights infographics reports and reporting resources to support data-driven decision making.

âKey responsibilities include:

  1. âââUnder the direction of the Director R&E applies quantitative data analysis methods to develop implement measure and evaluate registrant and program-derived data for the purpose of creating useable insights summaries and reports to drive program performance and continuous improvement.
  2. Leads coordinates and supports the development implementation and evaluation of program level metrics.
  3. Writes reports and creates resources including Power BI dashboards infographics presentations surveys charts tables and other materials to help people readily engage with and understand program data.
  4. Defines and measures indicators to support reports and projects.
  5. Informs the review and development of data collection and database management approaches and the creation of supporting documentation.
  6. Leverages assesses and interprets registrant and program data to ensure that programs are using accurate and reliable sources of information for measurement reporting and evaluation.
  7. Analyzes data to identify trends patterns and insights to support data-driven and evidence-based decision making.
  8. Supports teams to identify initiatives with the biggest potential and to determine the best methodological approach for the situation.
  9. Applies concepts of design thinking and leads process management initiatives from ideation to completion. Supports teams to integrate and embed measurement initiatives and methods into program workflows.
  10. Maintains knowledge of emerging trends related to performance measurement data analysis and technology and applies learnings to program initiatives.
  11. Contributes to a collaborative environment that supports iterative integrated and agile team work to prioritize develop test and implement program-level performance measurement.
  12. Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning related to Indigenous cultural safety and humility and supporting organizational actions towards addressing indigenous-specific racism in BCs health care system.
  13. Fosters and maintains an organizational culture that promotes equity diversity and inclusion mutual respect teamwork and service excellence.

Your education & skillsâ

  • âMasters degree and other specialized education in epidemiology public health data science statistics bioinformatics economics or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience related to organizational performance measurement or quantitative data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data and results into written reports and presentations for various audiences.
  • Knowledgeable of descriptive and inferential statistics including the interpretation of results.
  • Knowledgeable of best approaches in data collection and database management.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in quantitative data collection assessment and analysis and creating insights from data.
  • Experience using specialized statistical analysis and data visualization software such as R SQL Power BI Excel and other related software applications to analyze data and to create dashboards.
  • Proficiency using design data and content building programs such as Microsoft 365 CRM SharePoint or other relational databases Adobe and Visio.
  • Project management experience including leading project work groups or components of projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with various levels of internal and externalteams fostering collaborative work environments.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability including the capacity to re-prioritize projects as emerging needs occur.
  • May be required to conduct data analysis as part of research activities.
  • Knowledge of Canadian colonial impacts on Indigenous people in social and health contexts including social economic political and historical realities impacting Indigenous communities and knowledge of Indigenous-specific anti-racism and accompanying reports (e.g. The Truth & Reconciliation Commissions 94 Calls to Action (2015) the In Plain Sight Report (2020) and Reclaiming Power and Places Calls for Justice (2019)) is an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding of equity diversity inclusion and cultural humility as they apply to health care is an asset.
