General Description:
Grades 6-8 World Language teachers are members of the school community and participate in faculty and department meetings communicate with families about learning in world language complete progress reports and report cards and have school based duties in addition to teaching world language lessons.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Teaching grades 6-8 world language lessons at the Hayes and Runkle schools
- Multi-modal instruction in the three modes of communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced oral proficiencyFrench
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective world language pedagogy with an emphasis on oral proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of materials and modes of instruction including use of technology and access to online authentic resources
- Demonstrated effective techniques for classroom management
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students parents colleagues and community members
- Keen organizational skills
