Position Summary:
Kitchen Utility Worker perform various food preparation cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Washing chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits vegetables and meats
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on the appropriate shelf (FIFO)
- Cleaning dishes washing cooking utensils and cookware taking out the trash and sanitizing the kitchen
- Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
- Communicates use of ingredients/inventory with Kitchen Manager to keep the kitchen stocked.
- Support Cooks with various kitchen tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):- Keen understanding of industry-standard best cooking and preparation practices
- Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Understanding of basic food safety practices (ServSafe certification is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
