FBCH Concierge/Greeter
Qualifications:
1. Must have one year of experience in the hospitality service industry or equivalent work.
2. Must be able to communicate fluently in English and have the ability to comprehend verbal and/or written transport instruction.
3. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and have excellent customer service and communication skills.
4. Must successfully be able to complete the following skills: oxygen transport customer service ergonometric and body mechanics push and pull 40 pounds and perform proper hand washing techniques. The Government reserves the right to adjust these requirements.5. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
6. Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association. Certification must be renewed at no additional cost to the Government.
7. Work includes prolonged walking standing sitting or bending. Requires the ability to function in a demanding environment. Must be able to quickly adapt to unfamiliar surroundings.
8. Must possess strong attributes of customer relations and people skills (e.g. courteous attentive listener patient strong communications skills).
9. Must possess a positive attitude and certain degree of creativity and latitude in handling difficult situations.
10. General medical ethics telephone etiquette excellent communications and customer service skills required.
Summary
2. Understand assigned roles and respond to Hospital Emergency Code(s) Blue Black Orange Yellow Gray Green Pink Gray and White or any others that may be developed as a result of or change with contractor duties.
3. Approaches customers upon entering the facility and assist with directions and information including the location of departments (clinics/wards) within the hospital as well as offices and areas of interest outside the main hospital at WRNMMC Fort Belvoir (e.g. USO Wounded Warrior Pavilion).
4. Monitor all visitors guests and staff for ID policy compliance and remind any violators of the policy. If violators fail to correct their action report the incident with complete details to the supervisor.
5. Utilize standard concepts practices and procedures for handling inquiries and customers requests to provide proactive and immediate support to customers.
6. Arrange for the transport from the dispatcher of customers attempting to meet appointments and those seeking directions if a guide is required.
7. Shall have working knowledge of all necessary points of contact to problem solve and satisfy the customer expectations.
8. Assist with opening doors and ensuring properly functioning handicap doors within the assigned area report any discrepancies to the supervisor.9. At the end and beginning of shifts: Collect wheelchairs crutches and walkers and return to designated areas. Additionally check for unsecured doors and report safety security and maintenance concerns to their supervisors immediately.
10. Assists patients with getting in and out of their vehicles cabs and shuttle buses.
11. Assist with conducting exercises (either planned or unplanned) related to Hospital Emergency Management System.
12. Assist the Command with the voice of the customer via distribution and collection of patient satisfactory surveys.
13. Report any issues related to effectively executing these duties to the supervisor
14. Render aid to customers in need within the scope of training outlined in this contract and within Basic Life Saver Certification Standards immediately report to supervisor.
15. Assists hospital staff with evacuating customers during Mass Casualty (MASCAL) events or emergency services.
16. Greets customers in a friendly manner and direct and/or escort guests to designated areas or services.
