Position Details:
SovahHealth a two-hospital system on the southern border of Virginia is looking for a Hematologist/Oncologist to join our cancer care team at our Martinsville hospital. Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.
Full time part time or contract work can be considered
Join a hospital-employed group composed of Hem/Oncand Rad/Oncphysicians and APPs
Bi-weekly tumor board and clinical trial programs
Aria Oncology information system
Averaging 25-30 per day outpatient clinic
10 infusion chairs 2 quick chairs
Inpatient treatment referred to large academic centers in the area
Staffed with navigators pharmacist pharm tech lab tech with lab draws in office phlebotomist office manager clinical director (shared with radiation oncology)
24/7 Hospitalist coverage
Most local cancer referrals come from GS GI UroPulmENTand Neph. Common Oncology scope breast prostate lung colon head/neck with a large Hematology panel
ACOS-CoC accredited
Good working relationship with tertiary centers in region
Low turnover in the clinic with a true family atmosphere
