Are you a legal expert that enjoys working in a fast-paced evolving environment Prudentials Cybersecurity Data Privacy and AI Law team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated attorney to handle a wide range of legal matters related to cybersecurity data privacy and artificial intelligence issues across a global and diverse financial services enterprise. The successful candidate must have strong legal research and writing skills contract drafting abilities outstanding interpersonal abilities a team-first mentality and a tenacious drive for learning.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. Fully virtual candidates will also be considered.
What youll do:
- Provide legal advice negotiating and developing cybersecurity data privacy and artificial intelligence provisions and contract forms for business transactions and initiatives including vendor and third-party service provider contracts.
- Track and report on laws regulations and guidance worldwide related to cybersecurity data privacy and AI to ensure Prudentials practices with regard to personal information of customers and employees cross border data transfers breach notifications as well as our use of artificial intelligence and our cybersecurity program comply with applicable global laws and regulations including GLBA GDPR DORA HIPAA CCPA/CPRA EU AI Act CO AI Act NYDFS Part 500 and state financial/insurance privacy laws as well as company policies and practices.
- Conduct legal research including but not limited to multijurisdictional surveys and drafting legal memoranda and other forms of business-friendly guidance related cybersecurity data privacy and AI.
- Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise including Privacy Officers Compliance Risk Management and other business lawyers/units on matters related to cybersecurity data privacy and AI.
- Assess and respond to cybersecurity and data privacy incidents.
What youll need:
- A minimum of 3 years of corporate law firm in-house and/or regulatory legal experience preferably involving financial services.
- An active license to practice law and as needed the ability to qualify for in-house licensure in NJ.
- Strong knowledge and experience advising on and/or operationalizing legal advice related to global cybersecurity data privacy and/or AI laws is preferred.
- Experience with cybersecurity data privacy and/or AI issues in business transactions and contracts.
- Strong research writing analytical and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills the ability to work independently and in teams and the ability to influence through collaboration without direct authority.
- A superior work ethic combined with the ability to consistently maintain high service quality efficiency and ethical standards.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where coordination and teamwork is a priority.
- Comfort with handling a wide variety of work and a commitment to transforming and modernizing business practices.
What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $171500.00 to $257300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
