The PIPAP Market Development team is looking for a Project Officer Programs to support our work to strengthen the commercial incentives for carbon abatement in agriculture and the land sector. This role will contribute to the design and delivery of government interventions that promote investment in high-integrity carbon abatement and generate broader environmental and cultural outcomes. You will be involved in shaping initiatives that make carbon abatement a viable and attractive proposition for landholders businesses and investors. This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are strongly encouraged to apply.

As a Project Officer in the Market Development team youll help deliver projects that support a trusted and inclusive carbon market. This may include engaging Aboriginal stakeholders to strengthen carbon market participation and benefit sharing.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Project planning and delivery
  • Coordinating stakeholder consultation
  • Managing contracts and procurement
  • Working closely with a wide range of people including landholders industry groups investors and Aboriginal communities

Youll join a supportive team that values collaboration cultural awareness and making a positive impact.

About You

You are a proactive and adaptable professional with a proven ability to deliver projects and engage stakeholders in complex policy environmental or land management contexts. Your background may include experience in natural resource management agriculture sustainability regional development investment or corporate sustainability.

You bring a strong understanding of planning and delivering projects that involve diverse stakeholder groups. You are confident in coordinating consultation processesincluding with Aboriginal communitiesyou value inclusive engagement and cultural recognition as essential to achieving effective and equitable outcomes.

You are comfortable working in emerging policy areas and bring curiosity and a willingness to learn. You understand how government programs can support investment and participation and youre able to contribute to the design and delivery of interventions that promote integrity and impact. Your experience analysing information to inform program development along with your ability to manage contracts and procurements enables you to support effective and evidence-based program delivery. You thrive in collaborative team environments and are motivated by work that delivers meaningful outcomes for the environment and communities.
