ABM is seeking an experienced Safety Manager with HAZMAT and HAZWOPER expertise to serve as a key safety and environmental leader for one of our major clients. This role is handson visible and critical you will act as the incident commander during chemical and hazardous material events while driving proactive safety programs that prevent incidents before they occur.

Pay & Benefits
Range: $90000.00- $95000.00

What Youll Do
Chemical Response & Hazardous Materials Leadership
- Serve asIncident Commander for chemical spills and hazardous material incidents involving ABM personnel.
- Conductchemical hazard identification and risk assessments including SDS review PPE determination and exposure control evaluation.
- Perform routine inspections ofchemical storage areas spill kits emergency response equipment and PPE to ensure operational readiness.
- Train ABM team members onhazardous materials awareness spill response procedures emergency communication and PPE usage.
- Partner with client EHS teams to identify potential chemical hazards and implementrisk-reduction strategies.
- Ensure all response procedures align withABM safety management systems and regulatory requirements.
ResponsibilitiesSafety Health & Environmental (EHS)
- Partner closely with client EHS leadership to promote a safe compliant work environment.
- Ensure timely reporting of injuries near misses safety concerns and good catches.
- Drive safety initiatives focused onincident prevention and loss mitigation.
- Ensure all ABM staff are properly trained qualified and documented to perform assigned work safely.
- Leadsite risk assessments Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and SOP reviews.
- Conduct safety audits inspections training sessions and meetings to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Leadaccident investigations identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain OSHA compliance includingOSHA 300 logs training records and regulatory programs.
- Actively support and strengthen ABMssafety culture in alignment with company values.
QualificationsWhat Were Looking For
- Proven experience inHAZMAT / HAZWOPER / chemical response environments
- Strong understanding ofOSHA environmental and hazardous materials regulations
- Experience acting in acommand or leadership role during incidents
- Ability to partner effectively with clients and internal teams
- Confident trainer auditor and investigator with strong communication skills
