To be successful as our new Recreation Team Member you will:
- Be enrolled in/completed diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents families and team members
- Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Foster exemplary relationships with residents their families and the Village team to deliver holistic care that focusses on flexible living and quality of life
- Plan and implement programs
It would be an asset if our new Recreation Team Member has:
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individuals health
- Knowledge of recreational therapy practices methods techniques and opportunities to improve residents well-being and holistic health
- An understanding of the relevant sections of the Long-Term Care Homes Act 2007
