What Youll Do
This position reports to the Director of Compensation and will perform day-to-day compensation activities survey participation and analysis and preparation of the annual Compensation Increase Plan Proposal as well as participate in the design development and improvement of compensation systems and programs. Day-to-day compensation activities include setting rates conducting job studies performing compensation reviews preparing job descriptions and postings administering the annual salary and variable pay programs in assigned organizations and preparing statistical summaries and special reports as needed.
The employees primary duty is the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management or general business operations of the Company and such primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment denoted as follows: having the authority to formulate affect interpret or implement management policies or operating practices; and carrying out major assignments related to the operation of the Companys business.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the execution of the annual salary planning process in collaboration with the Director of Compensation and communicates the process to management in assigned organizations.
- Consults with and advises management and employees on compensation issues.
- Evaluates new or revised jobs and determines appropriate FLSA classification job level/salary range and appropriate salary.
- Identifies and participates in various national compensation surveys to gather data ensure accuracy of market data and benchmark internal pay practices.
- Performs analysis on and with this data to assist organizational managers in making informed competitive compensation decisions.
- Participates in the preparation of the annual Compensation Increase Plan and in the submission of the plan to senior management and the National Nuclear Security Administration for approval.
- Assists in the documentation of Compensation processes procedures and plans; and updates policy and procedure documents ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations procedural requirements and best practices.
- Assists in the design development and improvement of new and existing compensation systems and programs.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Masters degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- Ten or more years of education and/or experience may be considered to satisfy the educational and years-of experience requirements for this posting.
