Summary:Under the direction of the Executive Chef Cold Food Production is responsible for a variety
of tasks in relation to creating on trend food options from scratch while following recipes and composing catering tray compositions autonomously.
Required Qualifications:
Possess a formal culinary education or equivalent experience in high volume food production
environments
Possess an acute understanding of all food allergens and the ability to exclude them from food
options
Possess basic math and reading skills
Ability to follow instructions and recipes
Ability to create more than 2000 food items per week autonomously
Ability to function in a high stress environment
Ability to lift 20 pounds
Ability to continuously stand and walk for the duration of an assigned shift
Additional Responsibilities:
Prepare food items while adhering to strict food safety handling protocols
Complete and return all temp sanitation and production logs to manager at the end of each shift
Clean all work areas and complete prep work 15 minutes prior to end of shift to allow manager or
lead cook/crew leader to double check work areas
Ensure that all food labels are accurate and correct
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
Maintain clean prep areas coolers shelves and floors in all work areas
Maintain mandated cooler shelf storage order guidelines
Address client or student concerns about food
Assist with Hard Knox front of house cold food options as needed
Inform manager of damaged and unsafe equipment that needs to be repaired or replaced
Work catering as deemed necessary for operational needs
Summary Pay Range: Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market location job-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that pay is only one component of total compensation.
