Microchip recherche actuellement un Ingénieur Conception pour rejoindre notre unité daffaires Communications à Montréal QC Canada.

Lunité daffaires Communications de Microchip (CBU) est un fournisseur de premier plan de solutions de connectivité et de réseaux optiques 100 Gbps pour les télécommunications et les centres de données hyperscale. Nos dispositifs permettent des applications cloud à large bande passante telles que les services de streaming les plateformes de médias sociaux et la visioconférence.

Léquipe de développement de produits CBU intervient tout au long du cycle de R&D des dispositifs depuis la conception et la mise en œuvre jusquà la réalisation. Une fois le prototype disponible nous soutenons le développement logiciel embarqué et les tests de validation en laboratoire jusquà la mise en production à grande échelle. Nous sommes une équipe expérimentée travaillant avec les outils et méthodologies de développement de semi-conducteurs les plus récents utilisant des technologies de pointe pour développer des dispositifs réseau de dernière génération.

En tant quIngénieur Conception au sein de léquipe de développement de produits CBU vous serez responsable de la conception et de la mise en œuvre de circuits intégrés numériques au niveau bloc ou au niveau supérieur dun dispositif. Vous collaborerez avec les architectes de puces les responsables de sous-systèmes et les membres de léquipe de vérification pour livrer des conceptions de plus en plus complexes dans un environnement convivial solidaire et professionnel.

Le rôle de lIngénieur Conception inclut :
Concevoir des circuits numériques selon les normes industrielles et les exigences du marché
Implémenter les conceptions en code RTL System Verilog en appliquant des principes de conception à faible consommation
Synthétiser les conceptions en portes logiques en tirant parti des outils et des flux de pointe de lindustrie
Intégrer des circuits numériques et analogiques avec des techniques de conception pour le test (DFT)
Vérifier les spécifications temporelles physiques à laide de lanalyse statique du timing (STA)

Microchip is currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our Communications Business Unit in Montreal QC Canada.

Microchips Communications Business Unit (CBU) is a premier supplier for 100Gbps Optical Networking & Connectivity Solutions for Telecom & Hyperscale Data Center Networks. Our devices enable high-bandwidth cloud-based applications such as streaming services social media platforms and video conferencing.

The CBU Product Development team is engaged through the full device R&D cycle from concept design and implementation stages. Once a prototype is available we support embedded software development and system validation lab testing through to mass-market production release. We are an experienced chip team working with the latest semiconductor development tools and methodologies in advanced process technologies to develop state-of-the-art network devices.

As a Design Engineer in the CBU Product Development team you will be responsible for design and implementation of digital integrated circuits at the block level or top level of a device. You will collaborate with chip architects subsystem leads and verification team members to deliver increasingly complex designs in a friendly supportive and professional environment.

The role of the Design Engineer includes:

• Design digital circuits based on industry standards and market requirements

• Implement designs in System Verilog RTL code utilizing low-power design principles

• Synthesize designs into logic gates taking advantage of industry-leading tools and flows

• Integrate digital and analog circuits with Design-for-Test (DFT) techniques

• Verify physical timing specifications through Static Timing Analysis (STA)

From time to time we offer the opportunity for Design Engineers to perform prototype testing in a lab environment. This experience enhances the individuals design abilities and gives insight into system-level operation.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en génie électrique ou en génie informatique
  1 à 2 stages coopératifs pertinents (un atout)
  Excellentes compétences analytiques et en débogage ainsi que la capacité à résoudre les problèmes de manière proactive
  Capacité avérée à sépanouir apprendre et sadapter à de nouvelles méthodologies et technologies
  Solides compétences en programmation
  Expérience avec un ou plusieurs des langages suivants : System Verilog Verilog VHDL Tcl Perl Python C C XML
  Expérience en conception synthèse ou vérification de conceptions basées sur Verilog ou VHDL pour le silicium sur FPGA ou dautres plateformes
  Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite en anglais
  Familiarité avec les protocoles de communication tels quEthernet OTN et autres (un atout)
  Expérience avec les outils Synopsys ou Cadence pour la synthèse la vérification ou lanalyse statique du timing (STA) (un atout)
  Expérience avec les technologies de processus silicium 65 nm et plus petites (un atout)

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

• 1-2 related Co-op terms experience (an asset)

• Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues

• Proven ability to thrive on learn and adapt to new methodologies and technologies

• Strong coding skills

• Experience using one or more of System Verilog/Verilog/VHDL Tcl/Perl/Python C/C XML

• Experience in designing synthesizing or verifying Verilog or VHDL based designs for silicon on FPGA or other platforms

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet OTN and others (an asset)

• Experience with Synopsys or Cadence tool flows for synthesis verification or STA (an asset)

• Experience with 65nm and smaller silicon process technologies (an asset)
