Internship, FLS Production Engineer – Mechatronics & Test Competency Summer 2026

ASML is the worlds leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. This position is for a First Line Support Production Engineer to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton Factory CT. The candidate will work with cross-sector employees & teams to provide rapid responses to resolve engineeringdisturbance notices addition the candidate will perform engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard (POD) to support output.

Your Assignment:

• Spends 75% of time in the Cleanroom learning production processes and troubleshooting way of working
• Able to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Investigate and present mechanical/mechatronics tooling solutions for existing work center issues
• Troubleshoot tooling & test stand equipment
• The ability to troubleshoot multi-disciplinary test equipment (Hardware/Software/Electrical/Servo) is a plus
• The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment:
  • full gowning (full body coveralls hood CR safety shoes face mask nitrile gloves and safety glasses. Working under ISO 9000/14000 standards).
  • Working around overhead cranes fork trucks and motorized pallet movers.
  • Working with or around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals

Your Profile:

• Candidate for Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering.

Additional Skills & Work Experience

• Must display a solid understanding of complicated manufacturing assemblies
• Working knowledge with mechanical diagrams and technical specification documents.
• Working knowledge of servo and mechanical control systems
• Working knowledge with complicated multi-disciplinary (Electro-Mechanical) assembly is a plus
• Working knowledge and experience with integrated Hardware/Software testers
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux/Python/ or MATLAB software languages is a plus
• Working knowledge of NX Teamcenter and SAP software is a plus
• Working knowledge with vacuum systems is a plus

There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields high voltage and currents.

This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730 et seq.).
