The Division of Administration/Office of Louisiana Highway Construction has a vacancy.
The Project Coordinator is a highly visible and critical position within the Office of Louisiana Highway Construction (OLHC) the Division of Administration (DOA) agency that administers programs and objects on all Non Federal Aid Roadways across the State of Louisiana. OLHC is solely responsible for managing all functions of operations/maintenance capital projects and bridge inspection for all Non Federal Aid Roadways in the state.
The Division of Administration is the state governments management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:
- Overseeing the states capital construction program
- Working to provide state and federal grants for community development
- Development of the state budget
- Providing technology services
- Giving agencies guidance in the state purchasing and contracting process as they seek goods and services
- Administering a program that provides federal funds to help Louisiana residents recover from a series of devastating hurricanes
Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience in procurement contracts management construction management engineering architecture or project management; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in procurement contracts management construction management engineering architecture or project management; OR
A bachelors degree plus three years of experience in procurement contracts management construction management engineering architecture or project management; OR
An advanced degree in supply chain management engineering construction management architecture or public administration plus two years of experience in procurement contracts management construction management engineering architecture or project management.
Job Duties and Other Information
House Bill 640 of the 2025 Regular Legislative Session creates the Office of Louisiana Highway Construction within the Division of Administration responsible for the study planning engineering design construction operation maintenance repair rehabilitation and replacement of any nonfederal aid highway that is part of the state highway system. The office shall have the authority and responsibilities for contracting with other governmental and private entities contracting for and accepting funds associated with projects enter into cooperative endeavor agreements exercise procurement procedures under Title 38 Title 39 and Title 48 of the Louisiana Revised Statues of 1950 and promulgate rules and regulations.
The Project Coordinator will serve as a key liaison between the Office of Louisiana Construction the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) and local government entities to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure projects that enhance the states transportation network.
