An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
- Collecting products from the warehouse and safely loading onto trucks and vice versa
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return
- Helping keep an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
- Answering calls monitor emails troubleshoot shipment issues compile drivers paperwork and ensure customers are serviced in a timely manner
- Plan schedules and dispatch drivers monitor routes and proactively plan to avoid delays
- Coordinate with customers and drivers for timely pick-ups and deliveries
- Coordinate logistics of daily workload for drivers.
Required Skills Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar field
- 1-2 years of dispatch experience preferred
- Knowledge of operating a forklift
- Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 pounds
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Great verbal and written communication
