Compensation is set by agreed to language in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between CCSNW & SEIU 1199NW and determined based on experience.
The CCS NW Recovery Centers provide a full continuum of outpatient Substance Abuse Disorder treatment services. CCS provides treatment to youth adults and their families. The CCS NW Recovery Centers are a safe nurturing and enriching environment where all are treated with dignity and respect and where clients and their families become empowered to make healthy changes to stop the destruction of alcoholism and other drug dependencies. CCS emphasizes a broad range of approaches to the treatment of alcoholism and other drug dependencies striving to serve those most in need. The philosophy of CCS NW Recovery Centers is that treatment is most effective when it is family-centered.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The SUD Professional facilitates Intensive Outpatient groups and staffs with the treatment team. The position involves case management processing groups alcohol and drug assessments file maintenance and record keeping. The SUD Professional provides a minimum of 20 hours per week of direct client contact.
Responsibilities
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct clinical assessments and evaluations.
- Schedule and conduct individual counselor sessions as needed.
- Conduct group counseling sessions according to agency treatment manuals and patient needs.
- Counsel families couples and significant others related to patients.
- Consistently demonstrate the highest in professional and ethical standards.
- Follow transdisciplinary foundations understanding addiction treatment knowledge application to practice and professional readiness.
- Prepare and update individual treatment plans as needed.
- Refer patients to agency or community services as needed.
- Undertake and document Case Management as needed.
- Coordinate and report service delivery to referring agencies as appropriate.
- Obtain and maintain insurance authorization to assure treatment services are covered prior to delivery or continuation of services.
- Provide client family and community education.
- Consistently prepare and file timely and accurate documentation of screening intakes assessments treatment plans clinical reports clinical progress notes discharge summaries and other client related data in accordance with WAC DASA SUDDA and other funding agency requirements.
- Collaborate and cooperate with all members of the clinical and agency teams.
- Document and submit daily reports of client contact hours and group rosters that have been signed by the patients.
- Provide timely accurate and appropriate response to requirements and requests for information from courts DSHS patients families and others.
- Participate in clinical case staffing agency trainings and meetings.
- Meet all work schedule and patient appointments with consistent reliability and dependability.
Access to and protection of PHI:
- Responsible for upholding a culture of privacy and security in highly confidential work environment (HIPAA covered entity service area).
- Complies with all CCSWW policies and procedures that involve access to and safeguarding of client Protect.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Substance Abuse Disorder Professional Certification with the WA State Department of Health under Chapter 18.19 RCW.
- Meet requirements of WAC 440.22-.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Support and uphold the mission beliefs and values of Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services.
- Support and contribute to a creative collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork.
- Demonstrates the necessary attitudes knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work effectively in multi-cultural situations.
- Applicant must successfully pass required background clearances prior to an offer of employment.
PREFERRED:
- Experience working with Adults in a professional SUD setting.
- Experience leading groups.
- Associates Bachelors or Masters Level degree in Social Services Counseling or related field.
- Bilingual and/or experience working with diverse populations.
- Experience with Non-Profit.
