Job Description
Wrapper/Utility Worker
Elizabeth NJ
Compensation Includes
- Starting Pay Rate of $19.89/hour
Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently perform the following tasks:
- Sweep aisles where machines are not in operation and your immediate work area
- Ensure bales are completely sealed and adhere to the baling quality policy following all production order instructions
- Palletize all bales of bags properly placing all labels in the required position following the quality procedure
- Properly strap bales of bags which need to be multi-paks in accordance with the production order requirements
- Use slip sheets for pallets requiring them in accordance with the quality standard
- Clean up all straps on the production floor
- Clean all spills in the baling production area
- Keep all clutter off the production floor
- Assure that the printing on the bales are meeting the quality standards
- Change strapping on strappers when needed
- Meet/achieve safety quality production waste and housekeeping goals set forth by management
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and management
- Must have good eyesight (no colorblindness) to spot flaws in color comparison print set-up etc. as bags or film come off the production line
- Able to properly use basic wrenches and tools
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs
