About the Role
The Part-Time Librarian (6 hours per week) plays a pivotal role in managing our librarys strategic direction digital and physical collections and information literacy programming. Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer youll work directly with faculty and students to ensure resources and services aligned with accreditation standards and the evolving needs of higher education.
Your Mission will include:
- Shaping the Librarys Vision: Lead the development and implementation of the librarys strategic plan aligning resources and goals with the evolving needs of students and faculty.
- Curating a Creative Collection: Oversee a robust design-focused library collectionacquiring cataloging and maintaining digital and physical materials that inspire academic excellence.
- Empowering Research and Learning: Design and deliver engaging instruction on information literacy helping students and faculty confidently navigate academic research and digital tools.
- Championing Academic Integrity: Manage the colleges academic integrity platform (Turnitin) supporting faculty in upholding high ethical standards across campus.
- Enhancing Compliance and Accreditation: Maintain compliance with academic and regulatory standards while contributing to accreditation efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Fostering Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with faculty to ensure the library evolves alongside the curriculum and supports student success.
Qualifications :
What Were Looking For:
Were seeking an experienced academic librarian with a masters in library science from an ALA-accredited program and a strong understanding of ACRL Standards. You should bring a student-focused mindset and the flexibility to work on or off campus. Experience in academic instruction is preferred and familiarity with resources in art design business or marketing is a plus.
