Job Summary

Our purpose at MEC is to provide an exceptional technical service and be part of the journey with our clients. Our underground services continue to grow and we have a great opportunity for a Senior Mining Engineer (Underground) to join the team to help us deliver step-change projects and various technical services with our clients. Join our consultancy with a team of 15 experienced underground engineers with expertise across all underground mining fields. This is your chance to leverage and grow your knowledge and expertise and take the next step in your career!

The Role:

The role is ideal for experienced mining engineers with over 10 years of experience that take pride in delivering high-quality technical work and seeing the impact of their effort. Candidates that have demonstrated experience across all mine engineering functions will be highly regarded including;

Experience

Previous experience as a Senior Mining Engineer in a team leadership capacity
Project management experience
Business improvement experience

Skillset

Long and mid term planning (budgeting/forecasting/13wk/3MS)
Mine planning and infrastructure
Underground production/D&B engineering
Ventilation & Backfill

Operations performance diagnostic and benchmarking with our clients existing operations

Qualifications & Technical Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of underground hardrock mining experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor or Masters) in Mining Engineering required
