Construction & Specification Sales Rep

About the role:

As a result of an internal promotion an opportunity has arisen to join the company as a Construction and Specification Sales Representative.  In this role you will promote Sikas technologies and capabilities to engineers architects construction companies and specialist applicators.

In your new role you will be based in the Auckland region; however some overnight travel may be required within the Upper North Island.

On a daily basis you will be:

• Hunting new business and developing opportunities in line with our company strategies
• Managing new and existing accounts
• Working with architects and designers to create system specifications
• Negotiating sales and developing strong relationships in related industries
• Responding to customer enquiries leading to providing quotations and specifications
• Attending trade events and seminars where appropriate

Qualifications :

As the successful candidate you will:

• Be a strong hunter with a proven record in sales development
• Be familiar with the specification processes of the construction industry
• Have sales experience in a construction related industry
• Have sales experience in the resin flooring or waterproof membrane industries would be advantageous
• Have excellent relationship building skills
• Have strong negotiation skills with the ability to compete on areas other than price
• Be able to work autonomously where required
• Have strong written and oral communication skills
• Be computer literate with the ability to use email word and basic excel
