Designers at Databricks blend strong visual craft with systems thinking shaping products that support some of the most advanced data teams in the world.

Lakeflow Connect solves a persistent data engineering problem: moving data from enterprise systems (Salesforce Workday SQL Server and more) into Databricks. Over 2000 customers already use our point-and-click ingestion experience and were hiring a Senior Product Designer to take it further.

Youll own the end-to-end design of how users discover configure monitor and troubleshoot their ingestion pipelines shaping experiences for both data engineers and business analysts. Youll partner with cross-functional teams in SF and Seattle to ensure a cohesive experience across the data engineering journey.

The impact you will have

Design the front door to the Lakehouse. Your work will shape the first impressions and ongoing trust for thousands of organizations using Lakeflow Connect for enterprise data ingestion.
Create experiences that serve both data engineers needing granular control and analysts wanting ready-to-use data
Own the end-to-end ingestion experience across connector setup credentials scheduling monitoring error recovery and schema evolution.
Define AI-native data ingestion by integrating Databricks Assistant into pipeline creation and troubleshooting.
Create scalable patterns for a diverse and growing range of connectors

What we look for

5 years of product design work experience
A bachelors or higher degree in Design HCI or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
A strong portfolio of past projects demonstrating a solid design process from inception to production
Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team communicating effectively with both design and non-design stakeholders.
Can execute beautiful visual and interaction work thats rooted in a data-driven and well-researched UX process
Experience designing enterprise software services or other complex systems (Products in the Big Data space are a nice-to-have)
Experience with React SQL CSS and/or Python is a nice-to-have
