Summary:
Maintains a safe clean and compliant environment by performing maintenance to the interior/exterior of the hospitals buildings and repairs deficiencies in a timely and cost-effective manner with a strong focus in carpentry related assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe and clean environment by performing inspections of the Hospital buildings.
- Repairs and maintains facility deficiencies with a heavy emphasis in carpentry.
- Determines appropriate action with building service requests by; assessing situation completing needed repairs or by placing work order for appropriate trade i.e. Electrical to complete necessary work.
- Performs skilled maintenance to the interior of the hospitals buildings and repairs all broken equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Completes service request on schedule priority 1 thru 5.
- Completes all required paperwork.
- Informs customers of service request status.
- Completes all types of maintenance and repairs i.e. painting sheet-rock ceiling flooring roofing door/hardware and casework repairs and installations.
- Schedules plans and implements special projects as needed.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position
- Maintains and Models Nuvance Health Values.
- Demonstrates regular reliable and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Other Information:
1. Minimum Education: High School Graduate of Equivalent
2. Minimum Experience: 3 Years in the Carpentry Trade
3. Preferred Experience:5 Years Of Healthcare Background
Working Conditions:
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Significant occupational risk
Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Significant exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
