Position Summary
The Kichen Prep Cook supports the event-based kitchen operations and must be reliable and detail-oriented. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients maintaining cleanliness and assisting the culinary team to ensure efficient food production and high-quality standards.
This role will pay an hourly rate between $13.00 to $15.00
Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching
This position will remain open until April 17 2026.
About the Venue
Home of the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds baseball teamAutoZone Parkserves as a year-round venue for events of all types and purposes located in Downtown Memphis.
Responsibilities
- Wash chop slice and prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef instructions.
- Measure and portion food to maintain consistency and reduce waste.
- Prepare basic items such as sauces dressings and simple dishes.
- Label date and store food properly following food safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean organized and sanitary prep area.
- Follow all health safety and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to kitchen leadership.
- Properly clean and store kitchen tools equipment and workstations
Qualifications
- Must be availble during the day.
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate with employees co-workers volunteers management staff and guests in a clear business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to speak read and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented fast-paced event-driven environment.
- Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
