This position helps provide staff support to the Office of the First Presidency the Restoration and Cancellation Committee the Strengthening Church Member Committee and the Office of the Presiding Bishopric by analyzing and processing documents concerning these matters and it provides confidential information to General Authorities and authorized Church employees. It also supports local priesthood leaders and international administration offices in their duties pertaining to disciplinary and administrative actions the annotation of membership records and confidential applications.
Analyze translate and process membership council documents from local units. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cases received from local units. Request additional information from priesthood leaders as needed.
Prepare case summaries and decision letters for the Office of the First Presidency including case summaries for all application types to the First Presidency.
Primary contact for priesthood leaders mission presidents and stake presidents by responding to priesthood leader inquiries (calls and emails) with tact diplomacy and a thorough knowledge of Church doctrine and policy.
Review the work of other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness. Give feedback and suggestions for improvement to other team members.
Update membership records in Church systems.
Bachelors degree required
Capable of creating detailed executive summaries reports and presentations that may be utilized at the highest executive levels of the organization found in someone with a bachelors or masters degree in English History Journalism/Communication or similar intensive researching and writing degree.
Fluency of spoken and written English and translation experience including an excellent knowledge of vocabulary grammar pronunciation and syntax of Spanish.
Ability to provide support over the phone and through email to leaders in local units in both English and Spanish found in someone with 2 to 3 years of prior experience in a customer support role that handles escalated calls and requests and deals with high-profile customers.
Ability to understand analyze and describe complex issues and data and explain them to others.
Ability to learn understand and navigate through complex organizational policies and practices.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to exercise a high degree of tact and discretion.
Ability to meet critical deadlines and work in a high stress environment.
Ability to meet performance standards set for the team.
Availability required: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position requires onsite presence; remote work is not an option.
