Distribution Project Engineer
Contract Position West Palm Beach FL
Overview
Our client a leading energy company is seeking a Distribution Project Engineer to support the design and execution of electric distribution projects within its service territory. This is a 12-month contract opportunity ideal for early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on exposure to utility distribution systems customer-facing projects and engineering project coordination.
This role serves as a key point of contact for assigned projects and supports both new construction and maintenance initiatives within the electric distribution system.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply diversified technical knowledge and practices to broad assignments across multiple engineering fields
- Independently evaluate select and apply standard techniques and procedures using sound technical judgment
- Make adaptations and modifications to existing processes and solutions
- Investigate variables and analyze data to support project objectives
- Work on conventional plans investigations surveys structures and equipment projects
- Collaborate with senior team members on complex technical challenges
- Develop technical solutions and recommendations for various engineering problems
- Support project coordination and execution activities
- Prepare technical documentation and reports
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or a related technical field
- 05 years of experience in an engineering utility or infrastructure environment
- Exposure to electric distribution utilities or customer-driven engineering projects preferred
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on-site in West Palm Beach FL
