What Youll Do
- Operate as an industrial photographer and videographer as part of a multidiscipline team.
- Complete assignments on time according to specifications and deadlines. The position requires a high degree of flexibility to meet schedules and diverse assignments in a large industrial setting. Requires occasional after hours and weekend work.
- Interface with customers across the site and with other communications functions across the Department of Energy complex.
- Use a variety of digital cameras to cover technical and non-technical assignments in various locations hazardous atmospheres and in proximity to hazardous materials. Assignments include but are not limited to machining operations forming operations technical development work at laboratory bench setups experimental processes and production operations in manufacturing; less frequently may include ceremonies photojournalistic events and award presentations.
- Process media using Adobe Creative Suite software on a PC workstation using conventional and digital file transfer and manipulation for output to various devices.
- Process images and videos for specialized publications.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- OR eight (8) or more years of relevant education and/or experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting
- Candidate must meet all physical and health requirements for becoming certified in personal protective equipment such as respirators and undergo a variety of training associated with nuclear operations
Preferred Job Requirements
- Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial industrial or military photography or videography using a variety of cameras single and multiple light sources and lenses.
- Mastery level of Adobe Creative Suite photo and video editing software is highly desirable. Candidates may submit a digital portfolio demonstrating a variety of work via a website link or CD/DVD media.
- A highly developed and demonstrable ability with photographic hardware is also preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with limited supervision.
