JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: ESSInstructor - Part-Time (No Benefits)
Qualifications: As set by the state certification authorities
Reports To: Principal
Job Objective: To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that willcontribute to theirdevelopment as mature able and responsible adults.
Performance Responsibilities:
a program of study that as much as possible meetsindividual needs interests and abilities of students.
a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests ofstudents.
the learning process toward the achievement ofcurriculum goals and in harmony with the goals establishclear objectives at the correct level of difficulty for alllessons units and projects to communicate these objectivesto students. Teach to all student learning styles.
instructional methods and materials that mostappropriate for meeting stated objectives.
the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
the learning disabilities of students on a regular basis; seek assistance of district specialists as required.
with colleagues students and parents on a regularbasis.
the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct for the classroom behavior and procedure; and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
to maintain and improve professional competence.
staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request from immediate superior.
to implement by instruction and action the districts philosophy of education and instructional goals andobjectives.
all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy andadministrativeregulation.
provisions for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
with other members of the staff in planning instructional goals objectives and methods.
in the selection of books equipment and other instructional media.
a share of the responsibility for co-curricularactivities as assigned.
to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.
and maintain cooperative relations with others.
to maintain regular attendance.
to use without abuse the principles of learning:
to develop high self-esteem in students.
every effort to maximize the use of classroominstructional time.
a positive attitude toward students.
other responsibilities as directed by the principal.
