The successful candidate will be an instructional leader with excellent leadership and communication skills; and the ability toManage behavior referrals for all high school students that will result in consequences short of in- or out-of-school suspension including delegation to the teacher assigned to process behavior referrals as appropriate. Communicate consequences and next steps to students staff and serious high school student behavior referrals with the relevant Associate Principal if suspension is being considered to support their decision-making. Assist as requested with intake for student conduct forms including completing targeted informational interviews with potential respondents complainants or with administration on classroom management issues with teachers including through direct intervention when appropriate. Collaborate with administration daily operations of the behavior suite and the Student Support Professional and interface with them as student issues emergeAssist with roles as assigned by the Acting Principals in crisis situations and drillsAt the direction of the Associate Principals support with daily supervision in the building especially during high-traffic times like lunch Flex morning break arrival and dismissal managing and responding to student issues as they arise Meet regularly with the Associate Principals to discuss emergent issues within the building and to problem-solve As needed communicate with maintenance staff and transportation department as needed to ensure a safe and healthy school facility The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years of teaching in K-12.
