Job Description:
The Sustainability Customer Director will be vital at creatingvalue from sustainabilitypartnershipswith ourretail customers.The purpose of the role is tolead Mars efforts to partner with retailers and createshared value for planetpeopleand business.This role will workon theMars CorporateSustainability team reporting into the Chief Sustainability Officer partneringwiththe Mars business segments.
What are the key responsibilities for the role
Develop Mars overall strategy to engage retail customers across the enterprise with a focus on creatingvalue fromsustainabilitypartnership.
Understandour customersprioritiesand developa framework approachfor engaging and partnering across the Mars enterprise.
Define and operationalize Mars approach to customersustainabilityreportingand partner with the SustainabilityReporting Manager to ensure customers have data on Mars footprint and performance in an efficient manner.
Build direct relationships on sustainability with Mars top 10 Strategic Customersidentifiedin partnership with the CorporateCustomer team and theMars business segments.
Develop Joint Business Plans for sustainability with those customers aimed atimprovingour sharedfootprint and creating joint business value.
Guide Top to Topengagements with those customers including at CEO and CSO level.
What do werequirefor the role
Essential:expertiseon sustainability related topics including climate change
packaging circularity human rights etc.
Essential:sales and/orcustomer account facing experience or strong leadershipcapabilities that make them a strong fit to engage influence andpartnerwithcustomers.
Desirable:familiarity with sustainability reporting and customer reporting.
